Pan, mute, solo, and record enable can also be easily controlled with the FaderPort along with window selection, play, stop, record, and managing markers (locate points) for fast and easy recording. A foot switch jack is also included on the FaderPort for hands free punch-in/out recording. After installing motorized fader didnt work - had to dig into various forums, before found new driver. No info about problem in description at website. Fixed with new driver, now works fine.
Awfull panning rotator - really often problem according to many forums and Presonus doesnt change a thing. This encoder making impossible to make fine pan ajustments and jumps from left to right and behave really annoing and now it is useless. Best way to fix it - change encoder to Alps. If you now how to operate solderer. Warranty doent seems to be an solution according to some forum messages and for me it is not really convinient to send it back.
Buttons are a little to much hard to push.
Works fine with Sonar (After some actions with Sonar) and perfectly works with Studio One.
Other DAWs works great to, but in ableton it is using Mackie protocol and you have to change banks to select tracks, if you have more than 8 tracks - it is annoying.
Nice product but with some annoying problems, but fader is really great quality and it worth to fix all the softwarte problems and the use great device (and if you change a pan rotator - it will be almost perfect)
This is an amazing daw controller, really sensible and with a really precise fader.
Nice looks, nice precision, all a daw requires.
Also, it feels good and it is kinda hipnotizing.
