The Radial JCR Studio Reamper is a passive Re-amp from Radial Engineering that lets you record a pre-recorded track and send it back to a guitar or bass amp for re-recording. The benefits are enormous: instead of worrying about the sound of the track, you can focus on getting the best musical performance. Once the music has been captured, you can send the guitarist home and re-amp the track as you like as you move the microphones around the room, try out different amps, or introduce effects. Best of all, you can amplify the track later as production develops.
The Radial Reamp JCR is the latest version of the original Re-Amp developed and patented by John Cuniberti. It features a 100% passive design with John's original Custom Wound 'Made in the USA' transformer and circuitry. The latest radial version features separate XLR and ¼" TRS input connectors, a variable output level, and a 3-stage filter that lets you tame excessive treble, warm up depths, or just bypass when you want to return to the original circuitry. A built-in mute function has also been added, allowing you to turn off the signal to the amplifiers when making adjustments or moving microphones in the studio.
