Studio quality even at extreme volume
The Shure Beta 52A is a high output dynamic microphone with a frequency response specifically optimized for maximum bass drum punch and for miking other low frequency instruments. It offers superior response, excellent punch, and delivers studio quality even at extreme volume levels. In addition to high feedback immunity, the Beta 52A's supercardioid pickup pattern ensures maximum isolation of the sound source and effectively prevents ambient noise. The adjustable stand adapter with integrated XLR connector simplifies positioning of the microphone, especially when used inside the bass drum. At the same time, the locking stand adapter keeps the Beta 52A securely in place even when subjected to hard hits and strong vibrations. The hardened steel basket provides protection from the rigors of rough everyday stage use.
I mainly use this in pubs and small arenas where the sound level is very high. Its allso a well known mic that most drummers trust and know. So either if your looking for a well balanced Bass drum mic or you are micing a bass amp, then this is the way to go.
its Shure.. do you need anything else? Performance is great, the soung is punchy and deep at the same time... need only little eq on the highs to get a real ear sound. Its strong and heavy. it means no compromises on transport and handling and no resonance problems also with long boom stands.
