The Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T Sunset Burst skillfully bridges the gap between classic rock sounds and modernized tonal options. The electric guitar in the distinctive Café Racer design offers comfortable playability thanks to an ergonomic body design and a slim neck profile, while the two Yamaha VP5 P-90 Soapbar single coils create characterful sounds of the wild Fifties and Sixties. Here, an extensive circuit with five switch positions and an additional focus switch offers a tremendous variety of possible sounds from Vintage to modern.
Gritty P90 sounds from classic rock 'n' roll to hot blues to steamy punk riffs are the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T Sunset Burst's métier.
Chambered Mahogany Body
With its revised basic construction, the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T Sunset Burst offers an extremely comfortable weight and additional body resonance. The key to success here is a targeted chambering of the two-piece mahogany body, which provides the body with resonance chambers and thus gives the instrument additional Sustain and a wiry response. The carbon reinforcement of the mahogany neck also plays an important role here by additionally optimizing the vibration behaviour of the construction.
Yamaha VP5 P-90 Soapbar Single Coils
For the right sounds from Vintage Rock n' Roll to Blues to brute punk riffs, the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T Sunset Burst features two in-house Yamaha VP5 P90 Soapbar Single Coil pickups. The classic designed single coils have Alnico V magnets and a wide coil winding for particularly concise mids and are tuned to their respective positions, and also connected together to give a good figure. Above this, a focus switch is hidden behind the push/pull function of the tone pot, which when activated provides a passive Boost for further gain reserves and an additional mid-push.
