Conventional amplifiers perform on stage. But how to they perform everywhere else? The most Amps are not more than shrunken clones of the stage version. But the style of how they perform at home is not a shrunken clone of how they perform on stage. So how is an amplifier which has been conceptualized for the stage supposed to give you what you need in your living or bedroom, backstage or in the tour bus?
THR is the first amp, which was developed exclusively for practices and situations off the stage. And for that it brings everything that you could have dreamed of. Sound, which brings amp modeling into a new age and - thanks to Yamahas Virtual Circuitry Modeling Technology - perfectly simulates the address and experience of a tube amplifier. In addition you get ultra realistic Reverbs and effects, which round off the sound and is simply fun. And don’t forget the possibility to playback audio in full HiFi quality that is unmatched by any other guitar amp. All of these advantages brought together in one compact device which finally sounds off stage exactly how you are playing.
You have a nig amp, which sounds good when its ripped open at 10. Maybe you also have a smaller, more practical one for practice and small shows. Now you have a perfect third amp. The amp for all other situations. The THR. Make it a point, to spend a lot more time with your guitar in the future.
This amp from yamaha is a little beast, it has quite a few options for the type of niche it sits in.
Its a nice portable amp for the guitar player that likes to travel and drag an amp around, it has a nice sound for blues and rock, you can use it for metal if you tweak the settings alot but its not ideal for it.
The clean channel is quite good but not suited for every kind of music.
You should keep in mind that this is just a cheap amp and should not be an option for someone who wants high quality sound on alot of genres, its just a nice amp to play and carry with you around and should be taken as that and nothing else.
Basicly this amplifier is perfect for someone who wants a tiny amp you can hide in the corner, and throw in a bag with you to carry if thats what youre looking for go ahead and buy it, if you are looking for something else this is probably not the amp for you!
Don't let the classic looks deceive you, underneath this retro-looking AMP lies a digital beast of an amp.
It's very easy to setup and operate even for beginners. and allows for the customisation of its amp simulations via USB connection.
It comes with 5 base simulations by default (CLEAN, CRUNCH, LEAD, BRIT HI, MODERN) but these can be modified or fully replaced, allowing the user to extend the amp simulation library practically without limits.
While not a professional amp, this monster still packs great sound quality.
It's great to have at home and light and easy to carry around for traveling. When not connected to a power outlet it can be powered with 8 AA batteries.
For its audio I/O, It has a 6.5mm guitar input port, a 6.5mm headphone output, and a 3.5mm input port for backing tracks.
It also includes a CubaseAI license which may be interesting for those dwelling in the music editing world.
I am absolutely in love with it and can't recommend it enough! I just wish Yamaha would port their "THR Session" iOS app to Android as well, in the meantime there's always 3rd party apps.
Needed an amp for use at home, to practice during lock-down. This is a gem, with a range of key effects, including play along connection for media player, tuning, and good sound in a very small package. Battery option. Excellent value for money. And reasonably fast delivery from DV247 shipped from Germany - with no additional tax or shipping payment required.
Мне понравился;)
Звук разный накручивается, особо не фонит. Маленький но громкий, выдает объемный стереозвук. Выглядит прикольно с подсветкой, может работать от батареек. Брал за 163 евро.
