Hybrid preamplifier
The Behringer MIC300 Ultra Gain is a preamplifier that is suitable for both microphones and instruments. Its well-tuned hybrid circuit with tube and transistor stages produces increasing saturation artifacts with higher preamplification, which subtly to significantly enrich the signal. It uses a hand-selected 12AX7 tube that adds warmth and smoothness to voices and instruments.
The switchable +48V phantom power and 20dB pad ensure wide compatibility with a variety of microphones. An integrated limiter is also available, which helps to prevent clipping. The device also has a phase reverse switch and offers a gain of up to 60dB.
The MIC300 has XLR and 6.35 mm jack inputs and outputs, which makes it very versatile. Despite its extensive functions, the MIC300 is compact and portable.
