The Behringer X32 Core is a digital rack mixer offering 40 inputs, 25 busses and integration with the rest of the X32 line thanks to AES50 CAT5 networked audio connections.
The Behringer X32 Core takes the essential elements of the X32 consoles and packs them into a 1U rack, adding Apple iOS control, negating the need for a physical mixer. The onboard dual AES50 networking CAT5 connectors enable up to 48 remote inputs to be used with the Behringer Digital Snake S16 stage box.
The X32 Core has a USB 2.0 connection for connecting the X32 as a USB audio interface as well as connecting to a host computer to use the included Tracktion 4 software for mixing. A computer isn’t needed, however, as an iPad or iPhone can be used for wireless control. Alternatively, more than one iOS device can be used simultaneously by performers onstage to customise their personal monitor mix.
The X32 Core features a dedicated headphone output and talkback mic input, both with volume controls. There are balanced jack outputs and connections for Ethernet and Ultranet, the latter of which can be used with the PowerPlay 16 personal monitoring mixers.
