Edition Dux Play Guitar – Welcome to Vienna

Guitar music from Vienna from 1800 - 1856

In the first half of the 19th century, the guitar experienced its breakthrough as a solo instrument in Vienna. Previously used mainly as an accompanying instrument, numerous solo pieces were written, contributing significantly to a comprehensive treasure trove of playing material.

Edition Dux Play Guitar - Welcome to Vienna contains 42 pieces from 1800 to 1856 from Vienna, which offer a good overview of the era and are an excellent selection for ambitious classical guitarists. At the same time, the easy to intermediate compositions are especially suitable for advanced beginners as well as students with more extensive knowledge. In addition to sheet music, the edition features information on the history of the guitar in Vienna, as well as notes and playing tips for successfully working through the melodies.

Includes full versions for download.
