The Fender 1957 Telecaster Journeyman Relic Aged Candy Apple Red is all about the rock 'n' roll of the late fifties. Representing the transition period after the legendary Blackguard Teles, this Telecaster has historically correct specs of its time and features a two-piece ash body with a single-layer 'Eggshell' pickguard and a radially sawn maple neck with a distinctive soft 'V' neck profile with a slightly thicker shaping behind the first fret. The Telecaster's coveted twang is provided by two hand-wound Custom Shop '55-'56 single coils, made to a historic recipe, which convey the raw and untamed tele sound in neck and bridge position. The sound of the 1957 Telecaster Journeyman Relic Aged Candy Apple Red is made even more transparent in the high frequencies when the volume and tone controls are operated thanks to the authentic Fat '50s Wiring. The 1957 Telecaster Journeyman Relic Aged Candy Apple Red is also equipped with a 3-saddle Telecaster bridge in the style of the 1955-1957 Telecaster with steel barrel tabs and vintage-style tuners.
