The Fender American Vintage '64 Telecaster Electric Guitar, Aged White Blonde is an addition to Fender's American Vintage series, which celebrates some of the most iconic and ground-breaking models from its 60 year history.
The Fender American Vintage '64 Telecaster features an ash body in Fender's legendary Telecaster body shape. The maple neck is given a mid-60s 'C'-shaped profile, which is more rounded than the thicker necks of the 1950s and early 1960s, and finished with a new Fender Flash Coat lacquer. The neck is topped by a round laminated rosewood fingerboard with 21 Vintage-style frets, decorated with large pearl dot inlays.
In the electronics department, the '64 Tele is fitted with a pair of New American Vintage '64 Gray-Bottom single-coil pickups, controlled by Master Volume and Master Tone knobs. There's also a 3-way pickup selector switch. These pickups have been wired and wound to recreate the original tones of the 1964 Fender Telecaster, with the bridge pickup having staggered bridge pickup pole magnets.
Other appointments include threaded steel 'barrel' bridge saddles, a 'top-hat' switch tip and flat-top knurled chrome control knobs. The American Vintage '64 Telecaster is finished in a beautiful 3-Colour Sunburst and new Fender Flash Coat lacquer.
