Custom Shop Replica of a Hardtail Strat from 1955
With the Fender Limited Edition 1955 Stratocaster Hardtail JRN/CC MN Natural Blonde, the FenderCustom Shop presents a strictly limited replica of a hardtail Strat with '55 specs, whose fixed strings-through-body bridge was already available as an order option in the Fender catalog in 1954. While the intricate Finish with elements of Journeyman and Closet Classic Relics conveys the look and feel of a mindfully treated vintage original, subtle modernizations make the electric guitar an ideal all-rounder for traditional and modern styles of blues, funk and rock. In addition to the Contour body made of ash and the pleasantly strong neck made of flamed Quartersawn Maple, the 1955 Stratocaster Hardtail features three hand-wound '55 single coils that elicit authentic vintage tones from the guitar's amplifier.
The Fender Limited Edition 1955 Stratocaster Hardtail JRN/CC MN Natural impresses with authentic vintage feel and the unmistakable sound character of a Strat with fixed strings-through-body bridge.
While four screws and an engraved neck plate connect the neck and body, the flush-fitting sleeves hold the ball ends of the strings.
Authentic Mid-Fifties Specs
In order to reproduce the sound characteristics and feel of a Strat from the second year of production as faithfully as possible without sacrificing contemporary handling, the FenderCustom store relies on historically accurate specs and subtle modernizations to build the 1955 Stratocaster Hardtail. With pronounced shaping on the front and back, the two-piece ash body hugs the body with ideal balance. While the sturdy neck 's hefty "1954 and profile oflightly flamed Quartersawn Maple feels rich and comfortable in the hand, the Vintage Compound radius rising from 7.25" to 9.5" (184 mm to 241 mm) creates the best conditions for easy chord fingering in the lower registers and unhindered string bending at the other end of the fingerboard.
Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55 Strat Single Coils and the tradition-conscious circuitry provide versatile, all-purpose vintage tones.
First-class Vintage sounds
As pickup for the Limited Edition 1955 Stratocaster Hardtail JRN/CC Natural Blonde the FenderCustom store chooses three Hand-Wound '55 Strat single coils. Hand-crafted using correct materials based on historical models, the single coils elicit top-notch vintage tones from the guitar amp, which, with their typical spank and bell-like response, provide the perfect foundation for soulful cleans and hot Overdrive. Here, the reverse-poled and wound RWRP middle pickup in interaction with the neck and bridge pickups prevents unwanted ambient noise. In addition to the 5-way switch for selecting the pickups, the electric guitar comes with a master volume control and two tone pots for precise adjustment of the sound.
On the headstock with "Limited Edition" decal, gold-plated vintage-style tuners keep the 1955 Hardtail Strat securely in tune.
Vintage Style Strat Hardtail
Last but not least, the FenderCustom Shop completes the Limited Edition 1955 Stratocaster Hardtail JRN/CC MN Natural Blonde with reliable Hardware in authentic vintage style. The bridge on the body is a Custom Shop Vintage-Style Strat Hardtail, which not only gives the guitar its name, but also contributes significantly to its direct sound with the string guide through the body. Six string tabs made of bent steel plate also guarantee precise adjustment of intonation and string action. Six Fender Vintage-Style tuners also keep the electric guitar precisely and stably in tune.
