Artificially aged by Gibson's Murphy Lab, the electric guitar comes in authentic construction with a mahogany body, plain maple top and set mahogany neck whose profile exactly matches that of Cantrell's personal instrument. Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers combined with the Piezo-proven Fishman powerbridge ensue for a multi-faceted sound that's well-suited for flexible sounds ranging from rock to metal to grunge. Authentic construction and Murphy Lab Ageing
The construction of the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom naturally follows the original of the string magician from Tacoma, Washington. While the 9-hole Weight Relief mahogany body carries a solid maple top, the one-piece mahogany neck is glued with a long neck heel and hide glue to guarantee optimal resonance development. The not-too-big "Custom Cantrell" neck profile also matches the original Wino Les Paul and ensures for comfortable playing characteristics up to the 22nd fret of the ebony fingerboard. The nitro finish and Hardware electric guitar are also treated at the Gibson Murphy Lab to achieve the played-in look of the original.
Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers and the Fishman Powerbridge with piezo pickups provide a versatile sound spectrum.
Flexible sound design
The electric tone conversion of the Jerry Cantrell Wino Les Paul Custom is handled by naturally Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers in neck and bridge position respectively. The powerful pickups deliver for first-class rock and metal sounds with assertive mids and organic dynamics. Like Cantrell's original, the bridge pickup's cap is missing for a more direct and treble-rich sound. To give clean sounds an authentic acoustic guitar color, the Jerry Cantrell Les Paul features a Fishman Powerbridge with piezo pickup system. The pickups are controlled classically by two volume controls for the humbuckers, a piezo volume and a master tone control.
The headstock bears Jerry Cantrell's handwritten signature and personal logo alongside precision Grover Rotomatics.

Last but not least, the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom Guitar from Gibson is rounded off by a high-quality hardware setup in an Aged Gold finish. From the classic stopbar tail piece, the strings are fed through the Fishman Powerbridge, whose widely adjustable string saddles guarantee optimal intonation and string action. Behind the Corian saddle, Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure for a precise and stable tuning of the guitar. Grover Strap Locks also hold the electric guitar securely to the guitar strap.
