After winning ten Grammy Awards, three consecutive Producer or the Year Awards and numerous collaborations with greats such as Taylor Swift, The 1975, St. Vincent, Lana del Rey and many more, US producer and songwriter Jack Antonoff is clearly one of the absolute heavyweights of the music industry. With the Gretsch "Princess Antonoff" Electromatic CVT, Jack now receives a thoroughly personalized Signature electric guitar as part of the Electromatic collection, which is based on his original Gretsch Princess and impresses with its features that are somewhere between Vintage and modern.
The Gretsch Jack Antonoff Signature "Princess Antonoff" Electromatic is a successful reincarnation of the Gretsch Princess from 1962.
CVT body made of poplar
The Gretsch "Princess Antonoff" is a successful reincarnation of the original Gretsch Princess CVT, which debuted in 1962 and therefore has the same slim body contours of the original. While the body is made of solid poplar wood, the maple neck with four bolts offers a slim "C" profile, which gives the instrument its agile playability. The basic construction of the Gretsch Princess Antonoff is rounded off by a rosewood fingerboard with a traditional 7.25" radius, 22 frets in medium jumbo format and classic pearloid thumbnail inlays.
Gretsch Custom FideliSonic pickups with Rhythm & Lead Circuit
For authentic vintage flair of the early sixties, the Gretsch Princess Antonoff is equipped with two custom-wound FideliSonic pickups specially wound for the model. The two single coils with elegant cream inserts have wider coil windings compared to conventional single coils, which give them their powerful mid-range presence with moderate Output. Thanks to separate rhythm and lead circuits, the circuitry of the Antonoff Princess is particularly versatile and provides separate controls for the neck pickup in addition to the global volume and tone controls as soon as the instrument is switched to rhythm mode.
