The Ibanez SRF706-BBF Bass Workshop 6-String Brown Burst Flat is a fretless bass guitar featuring a mahogany body, a maple/bubinga neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and a brown burst flat finish. The SR Series of bass guitars is suitable for a variety of players thanks to a smooth, fast neck, lightweight body, and matched electronics. The SR Portamento features an extended 30-fret rosewood fingerboard for playing in upper registers usually only accessible on an upright bass. A five-piece maple/bubinga through-neck offers increased sustain and superior tone.
On the back of this bass you will find recessed controls assigned to each individual string to control the volume of the Ibanez-exclusive AeroSilk Piezo pickup. A Custom bridge created specifically for the AeroSilk Piezo pickup system features unique plastic saddles designed to work in concert with piezo pickups and enhance the acoustic quality of the sound. Bartolini MK1 pickups are split coil designs providing a very wide frequency range and enhanced definition for maximum accuracy. The EQ section incorporates a master volume, balance and bass and treble controls for the Bartolini MK-1 pickups and a master volume and tone control for the Piezo system.
