Based on the popular multi-scale design, the Ibanez RGMS8 has its own scale for each string, which increases from 25.5 inches for the highest to 27.3 inches for the lowest string, guaranteeing precise sound development even during extreme drop-tunings. The mahogany body offers the well-known sleek RG contours with wide cutaways and all access neck joint for unhindered access to the high positions of the maple walnut neck held in the flat "Wizard III-8" profile.
