Electric guitar with extremely agile playing characteristics.

The next evolutionary step of the legendary JEM, the Ibanez PIA naturally impresses with extroverted looks and agile playing characteristics. With subtly modified lines and more rounded edges, the alder body offers comfortable handling, while the Petal Grip and Lion's Claw routing for the Tremolo add visual accents. Four-bolted, the flat maple-walnut neck offers smooth playing characteristics all the way to the highest layers of the rosewood fingerboard, where the intricate PIA Blossom inlay marks the layers. Stainless steel frets in jumbo format and scalloping from the 21st to the 24th fret also promise smooth bendings.

IBANEZ Steve Vai PIA3761C-BLP Blue Powder Body
With DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups and a switchable high-pass filter, the Ibanez Steve Vai PIA3761C delivers fluid sounds.

DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups and high-pass filter

The electrical tone conversion of the Steve Vai PIA is handled by DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups specially developed for the electric guitar, whose elaborate design is perfectly integrated into the overall look. As an evolutionary step of the legendary Evolution pickups, the bridge-placed DiMarzio UtoPIA bridge humbucker impresses with a tight Bass response and a sweet treble spectrum that presents every note with precision and control. For fluid soloing and fat-clean sounds, on the other hand, the DiMarzio UtoPIA neck humbucker is recommended, while the UtoPIA single-coil in the middle position comes up with a lively and treble-rich sound. To prevent the low frequencies from gaining the upper hand and dulling the sound when the volume control is turned down, the push-pull switch activates a high-pass filter if desired, which provides harmonic brilliance.

Gotoh tuners promise accurate tuning of the Ibanez PIA3761C electric guitar.

Edge Tremolo with Ultralite lever

As a Steve Vai Signature electric guitar, the Ibanez PIA3761C-BLP Blue Powder naturally features an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo for detune-free vibratos. The Lion's Claw milling under the system allows wide bendings up and down, while the Ultralite tremolo lever made of carbon is especially comfortable in the hand. The spring chamber is closed by a practical magnetic cover for quick access to the tremolo springs for adjustments. Behind the locking saddle, Gotoh tuners also ensure precise Tuning of the electric guitar.
