Soloist electric guitar from the Jackson X Series with Duncan designed humbuckers
The Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX Satin Black is a workhorse designed for pure shredding and juicy high gain sounds. The Soloist features a slim, full-length maple speed neck and 12" - 16" compound fretboard radius for unmatched nimbleness in all positions on the 24-flush Indian Laurel fretboard. Two Duncan Designed HB-103 Humbuckers provide the appropriate sounds with that extra bit of pressure. The high coil count and the use of ceramic magnets provide crystal clear high-gain tightness and mix-cutting leads. Last but not least, the Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX Satin Black features practical hardware in the form of solid die-cast tuners and a Floyd Rose special tremolo system including locking saddle.
Armed with Duncan Designed HB-103 humbuckers and Floyd Rose Special tremolo, the Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX Satin Black is mercilessly trimmed for pure shredding.
The Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX Satin Black at a glance:
Having tried playing MANY of these in my hands, it seems that the quality control out of the Jackson Indonesia factory is hit-or-miss. If you get a good unit without problems, it is a great guitar with a great sound for a great price! And the looks are so nice as well. The neck thru body construction is so smooth and sweet. However, you might get a dud that sounds horrible. Or it might have severe defects in the neck or locking nut. In my experience, about 50% are of poor quality.
