Hand-wired boutique amplifier with EL84 power amplifier

In the spirit of the founder of Trainwreck, Ken Fisher, who died in 2006, the compact Komet 19 presents the flexible and powerful sound with the characteristic touch-responsiveness of its big brother. The manoeuvrable, point-to-point single-channel model with classic 12AX7 preamplifier and double EL84 output stage equipment generates more than a full 19 watts of power and claims a permanent place in the rehearsal room and on the stage. Dynamic cleans to steaming crunch sounds of well-played tubes belong to the profession of the straightforward amplifier, whose varied and organic sounds are available via the guitar's volume potentiometer.

19 watt power

Those who underestimate the output power of the Komet 19 will soon be surprised: This combo amplifier gets unbelievable reserves from its power amplifier equipped with two EL84 tubes and asserts its character both in band context and on recordings. Especially in the middle control range of the volume, the sound of the Comet 19 experiences the classic overtone-rich saturation with dynamic and fast response, so that fast legato leads are clearly reproduced tone by tone. Fans of loud and fat, yet vocal sound will get their money's worth with the Comet 19.

Three controls for volume, saturation and tone elicit all sounds from Comet 19.

Volume, Saturation & Tone

As a classic single channel, the Comet 19 uses the basic parameters of traditional tube amplifiers and does without a compressing master volume. Saturation and tone determine the incoming signal strength and the tonal mid-spectrum of the amplifier, while the volume control adjusts the overall volume of the output stage. Three switch positions of the bright switch are available for further adjustment of the trebles. All settings of the Comet 19 are made by precise and durable 2 Watt Military Grade Potentiometers.
