The Mapex Saturn V Tour MXSVE401VW Black Pearl is a three-piece professional drum set in vintage look especially designed for live use. With many professional features, the great workmanship and the good price-performance ratio, the Mapex Saturn V Tour Edition is the perfect drum set for rock, punk and indie drummers who are on the go a lot and need a solid drum set with a fat, warm sound. The drum shells consist of a maple / walnut hybrid and convince with their warm basic character and a balanced sound with high bass and excellent response, also thanks to the Remo Emperor and Powerstroke 3 heads, which are factory equipped. The SONICLear bearing edges and tom holder allow the drum shells to resonate freely and increase the contact surface of the head, which results in simple tuning and a higher tonal range, so many musical styles can be operated.

The Saturn V SONIClear concept

Originally developed for the Mapex Armory and Mapex Mars series, the SONIClear bearing edges and SONIClear tom holders also improve the sound of the Saturn V series. The new bearing edges not only improves the Mapex-typical sound, but also provides a significantly higher tonal range of the Saturn V drums. The SONIClear tom holder does not require an extra multiclamp and can be attached directly to the desired stand. The innovative system allows the shell and head to vibrate freely and prevents the unwanted transfer of energy to the hardware.

But that's not all: Floor Tom legs and tom suspensions are also equipped with the latest SONIClear technology and thus ensure almost perfect resonance of the shell. This gives the Saturn V drums their particularly deep and exceptionally powerful sound.
