The Music Man Majesty 7 20th Anniversary Honey Butter marks the 20th anniversary of the successful collaboration between John Petrucci of Dream Theater and the tradition-steeped California company. As a strictly limited special model, the 7-string electric guitar combines the typical Petrucci appointments in terms of sound and playability with particularly noble woods and an elegant sunburst finish.

Majesty Gitarre made from select woods
For the neck-through construction of the 20th Anniversary Majesty 7 electric guitar, Music Man relies on particularly exquisite woods and the design features developed in collaboration with Petrucci for especially agile handling. The body and neck are made of Honduran mahogany, which guarantees a decidedly punchy sound character. While the maple shield and the dark ebony fingerboard with golden JP inlays provide the dignified look of the Gitarre, the flat D-neck profile guarantees the usual agile playing characteristics.
A piezo pickup system in the bridge and DiMarzio humbuckers provide a flexible sound spectrum.
Versatile sounds
When used with a guitar amp, the Music Man Majesty 7 20th Anniversary naturally offers a wide range of tones for classic and modern progressive metal. The DiMarzio Rainmaker and Dreamchatcher humbuckers, developed in collaboration with John Petrucci, promise first-class clean and overdrive sounds for harmonically sparkling arpeggios, fluid solo lines and tight riffing. For additional timbres with acoustic character, a piezo pickup system is also on board. To give solos more volume, the active Music Man Custom preamp comes with a switchable gain boost.
Schaller M6-IND locking tuners in the typical "5+2" arrangement guarantee precise and stable tuning of the 20th Anniversary Majesty 7.
High-quality hardware equipment
Also in the matter of Hardware the JP 6 20th Anniversary shows the solutions developed together with the Dream Theater guitarist. The bridge is a Music Man Custom tremolo with Fishman piezo elements in the tailpieces. Mounted on two bolts, the system also impresses with its buttery-smooth handling. To ensure that the electric guitar stays in tune even when frequently reaching for the vibrato lever, the headstock is equipped with Schaller M6-IND locking tun ers in the typical "5+2" arrangement.
