The Paiste PST7 Crash Cymbal is an 18" thin crash cymbal made of CuSn8 bronze with a traditional finish. Paiste Sound Technology (PST) from Switzerland stands for exceptionally crafted cymbals with fantastic sound and design at absolutely fair prices. Based on the legendary 2002 series, the same recipe used to create numerous other PST series, the PST7 cymbals consist of a CuSn8 bronze alloy. The final touch comes in form of a characteristically traditional finish, giving them a warm and sound and an unassuming appearance.
The PST7 cymbals are made by highly qualified craftsmen in the Swiss cymbal foundry. The result of legendary base materials and the expert manufacturing process are warm and bright sounding cymbals in various sizes and weight grading. The broad range offered by the PST7 series makes it a great cymbal for every musical style. With an integrated bell character, the PST7 crash cymbal features a bright, warm, airy sound with a pinch of a brilliant sizzle and fairly wide range with a clean mix. This cymbal has a soft, responsive feel, making it a light crash for unintrusive accents in low to moderate music styles.

Paiste make consistently good cymbals in my opinion, I opted for the 18" light PST7 crash as an addition to the PST7 Light cymbal set and its sound is perfectly aligned along side the smaller 16" PST light crash in the set, the 18" light crash explodes with clear defined tones if hit hard, and provides a beatiful mellow wash if riding on it, the bell has a distinct ping too if you hit it, I would definitely recommend this cymbal to anyone looking to play any type of music (other than hard Rock / Metal...if you play harder perhaps the "heavy weight" version would be suited better) Very happy with the choice I made
