The Tama LGB62BSQ-GNQ S.L.P. ShellSet G-Bubinga in Gloss Natural Quilted Bubinga Finish is a 6-piece drum set made of 12-ply Bubinga wood with black nickel hardware and deep, powerful sound. The Tama Bubinga drum set is rounded off by the proven Starclassic lugs, Evans G2 Clear heads and the new Tama Direct Flexi Mount. It joins the new series of S.L.P. drum sets based on the successful snare drum models.

Tama S.L.P. G-Bubinga: Powerful sound with rich bass

The drum shells consist of Bubinga, a wood that is also known for its deep and powerful sound in the Starclassic series. The outer layer consists of a quilted bubinga veneer, which stylishly rounds off the optical image in combination with the black nickel hardware. Due to the relatively thick shells and the hard wood, the sound is extraordinarily powerful, with a lot of attack and a rich low bass. The fat sound is further enhanced by the factory-fitted Evans G2 Clear heads. The Starclassic lugs offer tuning safety and robust properties on tour.

Tama Direct Flexi-Mount

For the S.L.P. drum sets, Tama has developed a new Tom Mount that supports the natural sound of the wood and allows the drum shell to resonate freely. The Direct Flexi-Mount consists of a two-piece construction, which uses a metal plate on the drum and a mounting for the L-Rod of the Tom stand. Together, when used with a steel shaft, they form a hinge that allows an easily horizontally playable tom. This design controls the vibration of the shell to the hardware and, thanks to the insulation, leaves more room to develop the sound compared to directly mounted drums. Soft transitions, a clear sound and accentuation of the wood sound is characteristic for this mechanism.

Beside the now established Tama S.L.P. Snares, which are available for every taste and in several innovative models at a fair price, the Japanese company Tama is now also building complete drums in the S.L.P. series, which are based on the most successful snare drum models from the series. For different requirements there are now individual drum sets made of high-quality materials with different features for all tastes and styles.
