A perfect all-rounder with a noble appearance: The Taylor T5z Classic DLX
With the Taylor T5z Classic DLX, the Californian manufacturer Taylor presents a hybrid guitar that authentically reproduces both the sound of an acoustic guitar and the sound of an electric guitar due to its clever construction and pickup equipment. A hollow body consisting of a mahogany top with sound holes and a Sapele body gives the guitar a perfect foundation for a rich and dynamic tone. Equipped with a humbucker hidden under the neck/body junction, a lipstick-style humbucker and a body sensor, the T5z Classic DLX offers the possibility to play either expressive electric guitar solos, or a rich rhythm guitar. Attached to the top are a volume, bass and treble pot intended for general adjustment. For switching between the three pickups, the manufacturer installs a 5-way switch in the frame, which allows you to control the individual and one pair of pickups at a time. A bolted Sapele neck with a noble ebony fingerboard in combination with a scale length of 632 mm and a nut width of 42.8 mm also ensures optimal playability in all 21 frets. The overall work is rounded off with precise die-cast tuners, which are set into the characteristic Taylor headstock. The scope of delivery includes a sturdy case.
