Expressiveness and dynamics are the foundation of the Absolute Maple Hybrid drums by Yamaha. In order to achieve this, Yamaha makes use of a hybrid shell technology that has already been very successful in the high-end series PHX.

The Absolute Maple Hybrid shells are made from maple and wenge and offer a very large dynamic range. They react extremely precise and accurate to ever single stroke.

The shell construction

The main material of the shell is maple with an inner ply of wenge, a very hard and heavy wood which is known for its clear and precise tone. The combination of both woods results in a solid and clear drum sound which works great a both high and low volumes. The Absolute Hybrid Maple drums always provide excellent expressiveness and dynamics.
