For decades, the American Standard has been a consistent fixture in the Fender range, and the upgrades to the American Professional II series are a sight to behold!
The rounded neck heel and the satin finish on the back of the neck add to the playability. The "Deep-C" profile fits comfortably in the hand and the instruments can be played easily in the upper registers.
The improved hardware components take functionality into consideration. Staggered tuners create even pressure on the nut. The modernised string holder is also a fine detail in this respect. The bridges with optimised mountings, shapes and materials, such as typical string saddles, provide THE classic Fender touch, the Twang!
Electrically, the newly developed V-Mod II pickups offer improved, clear articulation without losing the bell-like warm sound. A push-push poti allows for additional and useful sound options in addition to the usual circuit variations. For example, the neck pickup can be added to the SSS-Strat, while the humbucker can be split separately in the HSS version. The Telecaster offers the option of serial/parallel use of both pickup.
