With the Epiphone Flying V Ebony guitar from the Inspired by Gibson Collection, Epiphone is launching a reissue of the "Modernistic Guitar" first presented in 1958, whose aggressive V-styling has become an icon of the rock and metal scene. While the construction with a mahogany body and glued mahogany neck promises a powerful sound, the slim "Slim Taper C" profile ensures optimum playing conditions across all 22 frets of the Indian Laurel fingerboard. In terms of sound, an Epiphone ProBucker-2 on the neck and an Epiphone ProBucker-3 on the bridge provide classic overdrive and distortion sounds of rock and metal, which assert themselves powerfully and defined in the band mix with a wide midrange. An Epiphone LockTone bridge, behind which the strings are routed through the body, and classic vintage deluxe tuners complete the Epiphone Flying V Ebony electric guitar.
