The Ibanez SR300E-SMB Seashore Metallic Burst is a four string bass guitar from the famous Ibanez Soundgear range. This bass guitar has a wealth of features, suitable for many styles of music and at a price that is friendly to all budgets. The lightweight body is constructed of mahogany and the slim, easy-to-play profiled 5-piece neck is constructed of maple and rosewood. The PowerSpan dual-coil pickups, developed by Ibanez, produce a strong signal with an increased response of the higher frequencies. This is all without sacrificing low end, resulting in a tone rich in harmonic detail and dynamic response. The pickups are complimented with the Ibanez Custom Electronics, featuring a 3-band EQ with a 3-way Power Tap switch. This switch gives the option of running the pickups in single coil (Tap) mode, humbucking (Series) mode and Power Tap which combines the two previous modes, giving the clarity of a single coil with the fat sound of a humbucker. The SR300EBL-WK also features an Accu-cast B120 bridge with 19mm string spacing.

Equipped with PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups, the SR300E produces a stronger signal, and increases the response of the higher frequencies without sacrificing low end. This results in a tone rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression. Additionally, this bass comes with a Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with a 3-way Power Tap switch for maximum control over a wide variety of professional bass tones. The Tap Mode (single-coil) creates a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation, whilst the Series Mode (humbucking) delivers a full, warm tone. The Power Tap Mode offers the best of both by combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker.
I had this bass, sold it but I am think of buying it again. Very well made and very good sound. Rarely goes out of tune. Nice, funky, rounded sound for wide range of genres.
Very versatile instrument, you can really get any sound you like
perfect for intermediate players.
great price to quality ratio
I've never played bass before, but I play guitar. Play a bass was my dream. And my colleagues gifted me a certificate to buy a bass guitar. After research, I chose this one. It was a great combination of price, quality, and amount of strings.
It came to me in a couple of days and when I tried it I've gone to nirvana b/c of sound.
I'm not a specialist but I do recommend this bass.
An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
