Ormsby electric guitar with hot humbuckers
The Ormsby Hype 7 in Pine Lime from the limited Run 16 is a flawless electric guitar for hard rock and metal due to its multi-scale construction as well as the CustomHardware and pickup equipment, which covers any requirements of those genres both visually and sonically. Accordingly, the heavy guitar of the Australian manufacturer was provided with optimal equipment and composed of high-quality tonewoods.
The Hype 7 electric guitar from the limited Ormsby Run 16 is distinguished by its modern handling and fresh finish and comes with an Ormsby gig bag.
The body of the Ormsby Hype 7 is made from a solid piece of mahogany wood in a high-gloss finish, with generous cutaways making even the high registers of the 24 frets easily accessible.
Structure and tonewoods
The set maple neck in 'D' profile provides ideal conditions for any movements on the dark ebonyfingerboard, on which 24 stainless steel frets in fanned-fret format are spread. In addition, the mahogany body of the Ormsby Hype 7 was provided with an appealingly grained curly maple top, which rounds off the appearance of the electric guitar with its high-gloss pine lime finish.
The tonal stability of the multi-scale guitar is supported by a custom Ormsby bridge and clamp tuners on the color-matched headstock.
Pickup equipment and hardware
At the amp, the Hype 7 impresses with the clearly defined heavy sound of two in-house dual coils, which take the form of a De La Cremepickup with Alnico 2 magnets on the neck and a Hot Rock Alnico 8 humbucker on the bridge. A 3-way switch, as well as a volume and coil split push/pull tone control, can be used to elicit further tonal flexibility from the Hype 7.
