Hollowbody construction for lively sounds
To achieve a particularly resonant and lively sound, PRS uses a mahogany body with generous resonance chambers for the hollow-body II, which are closed off by a top and back made of intensively flamed maple. The pleasantly round Pattern mahogany neck nestles comfortably in the hand, allowing classic and modern playing techniques to be implemented with ease on the rosewood fingerboard. The coveted Bird inlays naturally serve as position markers.
With two PRS 58/15 LT pickups and the piezo system in the bridge, the Hollowbody II delivers the sounds of both electric and acoustic guitars.

At the guitar amp, the hollow-body II from PRS proves to be a true all-rounder that is no stranger to any sound or genre. Two PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers deliver finely resolved electric guitar sounds for crystal clear cleans and juicy overdrive between blues and rock. The piezo pickup system developed together with acoustic specialist LR Baggs also contributes authentic acoustic guitar sounds that significantly expand the musical expression possibilities. Thanks to separate mono and stereo outputs, the pickup signals of the PRS hollow-body II can be output to different amplifiers.

Indestructible PRS Hardware

The PRS/LR Baggs Adjustable Piezo Stoptail serves as both bridge and tailpiece, and its adjustable string saddles guarantee optimal intonation and string position. At the headstock the strings run with straight tension to the precise and tuning stable PRS Phase III tuners with top-locking function.
