The Peavey Headliner 410
This cab is quite heavy and it's got a reassuringly strong build. The tone it puts out hits HARD!!! It's got an awesome sound, VERY tight & punchy, with just enough bass, detailed mids, and proper higs! Very balanced. Doesn't need a tweeter, as quite often tweeters on bass cabs sound harsh and ruin most high gain pedals (distortion, fuzz) with their piercing nature of sound. The sound is also very snappy due to the sealed construction. All in all it punches (pun intended) well above it's price!! Recommended, 5/5!!
The Headliner 410 is a well made cabinet with a metal grille, metal handles and metal corners. The sound is warm with plenty of low end, and it can easily handle even the lowest tones of a 5 string bass without a problem. It can handle quite a lot of power and low end EQ too and play really loud without any sign of distortion, and the cabinet is absolutely silent without any rattle or vibration. The cabinet sounds very good for rock, hard rock, grunge, heavy metal, blues and the like. Although it does not have a horn or a tweeter, I didn't miss it, because the cabinet can also make a great deal of high end if one wishes that. All in all a very good product at a very freasonable price, as is often the case with Peavey. It offers a lot of value for money and is unrivalled at this price. I can clearly recommend it to anyone that wants a warm sounding, powerful cabinet of good quality at an affordable price.
