Squarp Instruments Hermod is the Eurorack version of the extraordinary Pyramid sequencer with polyphonic eight-track CV/Gate interface. The sequencer allows step-by-step or real-time recording. A quadruple modulation matrix, which accepts four CV inputs (A-D) and MIDI values as source, provides a lot of variety in the sequencer and the individual tracks. The targets in the matrix can be routed to CV, gate and MIDI events in a variety of ways.
Biodiversity
Of the thirteen CV effects individually assignable to each track, eight can be used simultaneously and switched on and off in real time as needed: MIDI, Arpeggiator, Chance, Delay, Euclid, LFO, Glide, Harmonizer, Output, Random, Ratchet, Scale, Swing, Ratchet
Sociableness
The eight CV/Gate tracks also represent the maximum number of tracks with control voltage. They can also be configured for clock & start/stop, polyphonic play including unisono and various control tasks such as velocity, aftertouch or CV effects. External MIDI instruments can also be played from the eight tracks, or just a drum computer can be synchronized to Hermod. The fact that the module is also an extensive MIDI/USB to CV/Gate interface and can take over other tasks as a USB host is just a side note.
