With the VOX AC15C1 Limited Edition Vintage Black , the British amp veteran Vox presents a modernised version of its very first combo amp, which, with its typical sound from 1958 onwards, made countless guitarists' hearts beat faster. Equipped with a 15-watt tube power amp , two channels , reverb and tremolo effects, this guitar amp delivers a broad sound with an authentic vintage character.
Like its ancestor, who was instrumental in shaping the sound of the British Invasion , the VOX AC15C1 Limited Edition Vintage Black Combo has two channels . While this combo amp delivers a transparent clean sound in the normal channel , which reproduces the guitar sound in detail, the top boost channel convinces with its creamy overdrive, whose brilliant " Vox Chime " stands out in every band. In addition, the AC15C1 features an integrated reverb effect that gives the sound a plastic spatiality, and a tremolo that can be adjusted in speed and depth.
The power amplifier of the VOX AC15C1 Limited Edition Vintage Black Combo is equipped with two EL84 tubes and produces 15 watts of power . This means that the Combo can amplify guitars excellently both at a volume suitable for the living room and in the rehearsal room. The power is delivered via a Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker with a 12" diaphragm , whose vocal midrange, tight bass and clear treble perfectly match the authentic British sound character of the combo amplifier for electric guitar.
This is a great amp.
It has the great vox chime and for its 15 watt its extremely loud.I use this amp mainly to play U2 covers but i have played some GNR and greenday on this amp and it handles them very well
Tone cut and normal channel is a great addition to the CC1 its predecessor as is the greenback speaker by celestion.
The clean sounds are absolutely amazing but when you put the volume up it has a real sweet overdrive.
It handles pedals pretty well.
The only downside of this amp is that its pretty heavy. But it sure is worth the tug.
in its price range im pretty sure you wont find a better amp.
PROS: excellent loud and open sound suitable for small gigs great British overdrive excellent for the low price
CONS: may be a bit too treblely heavy normal channel cannot be equalized tremolo and reverb are not excellent but still good
Classic and very inspiring clean sound either with my fender strat or with gibson les paul.
Built in Reverb and Tremolo are great additions and help constructing that beautiful sound.
As far as the dirt goes dont expect to play heavy metal but its ok for some hard rock or grunge. Just put some time on the tone controls (bass and treble) and you will get few different sounds...
Excellent amp, has that classic vox sound in spades, lovely tremolo circuit also
looks great and sounds great and will cover most styles of music, classic rock, country, surf, indie
fast delivery swell, recommend 100%
