Great recorder, comes with many features and excellent quality audio recording. Compared with similar products, it can record 360 ° without loss of volume and quality, which makes it suitable not only for recording music and concerts, but also meetings and ambient sounds. Excellent value for money!
I do a lot of field recording and H2n has been an absolute star, perfirming just perfectly every single time. Only small concerc is my fear that the Play/Scroll button feels not as robust as other parts of the device.
After more than 10 years of service the old H2 had developed a couple of problems that impacted the quality of recordings. The H2n was the obvious replacement and seems to be working well in the little time so far spent on it.
The controls are different (more complex), but that is a matter of familiarity I suspect.
For the price, I can't fault it. Build quality is good (would have been nice if a case was included). Sound quality is excellent. The layout of the mics (5!) works very well, making the recording possibilities pretty endless. Can be used as a stand-alone mic. Also has the ability to output 4 channels to my DAW (and much more). Should have got one ages ago, but i'm glad I didn't as the latest model has some very nice upgrades. A bargain - period (in my opinion of course). Good accessory pack (real cheap if you buy it with the mic).
