With the LC81 MD lavalier microphone AKG offers the artist the possibility to fully concentrate on his work without being irritated by additional load or eye-catching equipment. The light weight of just 2 grams is hardly noticeable to the user even during longer performances. Its 4.8mm diameter and 10mm length require a minimal mounting surface, which is why the microphone itself is hardly visible to the artist. The LC81 is also available in several colours, making it easy to place on different garments and skin types.
From a technical point of view, the microphone has a cardioid polar pattern, whose sound characteristics provide optimum results in theatres, TV studios and conferences. Unwanted ambient and room noises as well as feedback are greatly suppressed, which increases the speaker's range of motion. Depending on the location, the lower frequency range can be reproduced more accurately and lower frequencies can be faded out from the surroundings during close meetings. The frequency range itself extends from 400Hz to 18kHz with a slight increase in the upper third of the frequency range, which provides more transparency and speech intelligibility.
Other accessories are added to the microphone, such as the MDA1 adapter plug, which is compatible with AKG wireless products and is also included.
To be prepared against external influences, however, this set contains the WM81 grid cap, which stops dust and makeup and thus protects against contamination of the capsule. Wind and pop noises are also reduced.
To counteract the wind even better, however, simply pull the supplied windbreak over the grid cap. The MUP81 protective cap should be used when applying make-up.
