The Behringer NX6000 is a two-channel power amplifier with massive output power and Class D technology, providing a serious amplifier for your most demanding applications.
The output stage generates up to 6000 watts of power, which is supplied as 2 x 3000 watts at 4 ohms or 2 x 1600 watts at 8 ohms. Thanks to the efficient Class-D technology, the power amplifier is housed in a particularly light (13 lbs/ 5.9 Kg) and rack-mountable housing. The back-to-front ventilation system prevents heat build-up, ensuring reliable operation. Another reliable device protection is provided by the zero attack limiters, which provide maximum output levels with exceptionally reliable overload protection.
The controls on the front of the NX6000 power amplifier provide the values for perfect monitoring of your system. Both channels have rasterized and illuminated gain controls with signal LEDs and limit LEDs in 4 segments. They show you when a signal is present and when the amplifier is running at full power.
The rear of the NX6000 power amp is equipped with 2 combined XLR and ¼" TRS input jacks, making it compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. The two twist-lock speaker connections ensure that the output power reaches your speakers without any loss.
The "Mode" switch is also located on the rear of the NX6000 power amplifier, allowing the Behringer NX6000 to be operated in either dual mono or stereo mode. The built-in crossover switch operates the amplifier in either full-range mode, which sends the output unfiltered to your speakers, or bi-amp mode, which sends only the low frequency range (<100 Hz) to a passive subwoofer, while the high frequency range (>100 Hz) is sent to your full-range speakers.
The new Smartsense technology offers you a significantly improved full-range frequency response with more powerful, dynamic bass and smoother high-frequency response. The resulting output is no longer dependent on the actual load, but is perfectly flattened by impedance compensation. The design of the Behringer NX6000 also offers a significantly higher damping factor, which allows better control of the amplifier over the speaker for stronger audio reproduction, especially in the low-frequency range.
I bought Behringer NX6000 to use with two DIY 18" subwoofers. It is very affordable and powerful. Negative side is that cooling fans are quite noisy. And it lacks of auto power on. But at this prise this is very good amplifier.
