The Nord Lead A1 is an analogue modelling synthesizer with a new interface layout and a unique oscillator design.
Featuring a 49 key velocity sensitive keyboard, an oscillator with eight different configurations, a five waveform LFO and mod envelope section, an incredibly smooth filter with a choice of 12 and 24 dB/Octave LP, BP and HP filter types, emulations of the Mini and TB-303 diode and ladder filters, and an effects section with chorus, phaser, flanger and more, the Lead A1 is capable of capturing your creativity both at home and on stage.
The new layout allows for super-fast patch creation, while the new oscillator section allows you to pump the main oscillator through various configuration shortcuts, including FM, AM and multiple secondary oscillator setups. The Nord Lead A1 also has a mod wheel, arpeggiator for creating randomised patterns, splits and layering functionality, master clock for internal and external syncing, Nord Sound Manager software for organising, backing up and transferring programs and USB and MIDI connectivity.

It's a great product, making it easy for starting synthesists to make remarkable sounds, due to the simplistic made userface. I'm making mostly 80's music and I must say the Nord Lead A1 greatly responds to my desires.
