Variable Clean Section with 6-Band Graphic EQ

The heart of the revised Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 is the especially variable Preamp in analog circuitry, which consists of the clean section and the Microtubes Engine. Here the clean channel convinces with a particularly transparent reproduction, which brings the character of the used Basses and the player unadulteratedly to hearing. At the same time, the 6-band graphic equalizer allows for a particularly precise adjustment of the sound character, while the integrated one knob compressor supports an evenly fat sound experience if desired.

Stage-ready with 900 watt power amp

For stage-ready volume reserves, the Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 Head is equipped with a mighty powerhouse in the form of a Class D power amp. Despite the transport-friendly dimensions of the weight of 2.9 kg, this delivers a whopping 900 watts of power, making every note of the marrow-shaking sound palpable in the pit of your stomach and making the earth shake. So that the enormous power arrives safely at the bass box, the Darkglass Microtubes Bass-Head is equipped with two combo jacks.

Overdrive thanks to Microtubes Engine

Switched in front of the Clean section, the Microtubes Engine impresses with the voicings of the popular Darkglass Microtubes B3K and Microtubes Vintage effect pedals. When activated, you'll get a wide range of great overdrive sounds, from subtle crunch to midrange-emphasizing vintage drive to brute distortion for modern metal. To maintain definition and punch in the low frequencies, the Clean signal can be mixed in continuously.

Extensive connections and speaker simulation

With its extensive and innovative connection periphery, the Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 furthermore proves to be the optimal sound center for live gigs and recording sessions. In addition to the pre-DI connection, which outputs the unprocessed input signal in balanced form, there is also a balanced post-DI connection, which taps the signal behind the sound-shaping elements. In addition, there is a headphone jack with its own volume control for silent playback Bass. A special feature is furthermore the integrated speaker simulation based on Impulse Responses (IRs), which is available post-DI and headphone connection and guarantees a particularly natural sound experience even without a connected speaker. Last but not least, the Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 makes contact with the Darkglass Software Suite via the USB port, through which speaker simulation and compressor can be extensively adjusted.

Intelligent Footswitch and MIDI

To control the Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2, a MIDI jack and a footswitch connection are also provided. Already included, the Darkglass Intelligent Footswitch allows you to switch on the Microtubes Engine and mute the bass amp with just one switch.
