Bridge humbucker for T-style electric guitar in single coil format
The DiMarzio Chopper T Bridge is the louder, punchier brother of the Fast Track T™. More power is concentrated in the mids and low end for a bigger sound with more crunch. It shares the same side-by-side coils and twin-blade construction as the Fast Track T™, so there are no string alignment or magnet-pull problems. And of course, there’s no noise.
The mainfeatures of The DiMarzio Chopper T Bridge include :
The pickup sound like 50% humbucker and 50% single coil. I don’t mean that it sounds like a P90. It has much different eq from a P90 and it reacts completely different in gain changes. In high gain it sounds like a low output humbucker. Like a PAF with less low frequencies. In lower gain it sounds like a single coil with a PAF eq. It is not the right pickup if you want to twang or you are trying to get a vintage telecaster bridge sound. It is mainly for rock sound and it is the best choice if you are trying to achieve a sound between a Strat and a Les Paul.
The finish is a little untidy, but dead easy to wire in and sounds great. Dropped this into a Reverend Buckshot and it's really brought the guitar to life!
I replace bridge pickup in my Telecaster with the Chopper T..my guitar now have a full tone without hum, quite opposite to the stock pickup that was a little bit sharp and noisy..really nice upgrade for Tele .. very versatile sound! Yeah!!
