Why is structure-borne sound decoupling important?
The Fame Audio IsoPods are used to decouple structure-borne sound from loudspeakers and other electronic devices such as turntables, amplifiers, mechanical hard disks and the like. A lack of structure-borne sound decoupling manifests itself in a resonance of the base (table top, floor) and consequently in a booming, unclear sound image in the bass range. Underlays made of elastic material such as the Fame Audio IsoPods provide an efficient remedy here.
What should I bear in mind regarding the load capacity of the IsoPods?
The IsoPods are supplied as a set of 4 and placed between the devices and the surface. Three IsoPods may provide a better stand than four, so it is worth experimenting. Please note the maximum load capacity of the individual IsoPod of 12 kg. If the maximum load capacity is exceeded, the decoupling effect of the IsoPods is completely or partially lost.
