The proven Fame MS power amplifier series is extended with the models MS 2002 D, MS 2004 D and MS 10002 D by three digital power amplifiers with excellent sound characteristics. Due to the compact design with only one height unit these power amplifiers are equally recommended for fixed installation as well as mobile use.
The Fame MS 2004 D is a 4-channel power amplifier with a power of 4x 190 Watt (RMS) at 8 Ohm and a frequency range from 20 to 20.000 Hz. The digital power amplifier convinces by its reliability as well as by its robust performance, which guarantees excellent power values even at higher demands and load peaks.
Extensive protection circuits protect the power amplifier from overload and three temperature-controlled fans ensure smooth, virtually noiseless operation.
The front of the Fame MS 2004 D is clearly arranged and user friendly. In addition to the on/off switch, the front panel contains the ratchet controls for adjusting the signal amplification of the respective channel as well as LEDs for status and level displays. The level indicators work in two steps (-20dB/-10dB) to reflect the intensity of the signal amplification.
When the "Clip" LEDs light up, the input gain should be reduced to avoid distortion or even damage. Finally, the Protection LED lights up as soon as protection mechanisms of the power amplifier intervene in the operation.
The signal inputs are designed as combo jacks (XLR and 6.3 mm jack), the output connections as Speaker Twist jacks. Three different modes are available for 2 channels each (stereo, parallel or bridge), which are set via the switch on the back of the power amplifier.
In stereo mode, both channels of the power amplifier operate independently with a separate input channel, so that two independent speakers are connected to the outputs. Parallel operation allows a signal to be fed to both outputs via one of the inputs. Each channel drives its own speaker with independent effect. The remaining signal input can be used to pass the signal to other amplifiers. In bridge mode, the channels are brought together.
