Who as a beginner is looking for a great and valuable practice combo with a typical American style outfit and sound, will find just what they’re looking for in our Fame Vintage line amp series. The Fame Vintage line GX35R guitar combo doesn’t need to hide behind the amps of bigger brands. These combos are built by famous manufacturers for Music Store Cologne - the same manufacturers where many famous brands also built their amps.
From crystal-clear bell sounds to creamy distortion, the Fame Vintage Line GX35R guitar combo offers a ton of sound facets, possibilities and playing joy. Price-wise this little combo is keeping its feet on the ground, and is offering a ton of great sounds for a small price, a powerful power amp, two channels (clean, overdrive), a three-band sound control (bass, mids, highs), a foot-switch for channel-switching, an Aux-In connection for CD or MP3 players as well as a headphone output.
The Fame Vintage Line GX35R is a handy American style guitar combo with 25 Watt and an 10" speaker for home, on-the-go or for jam sessions with friends. Clean or distorted the Fame Vintage Line GX35R sound always makes a good figure, it is simple to use, variable, looks great, is robust and stabile, and sounds powerful and balanced. The channel-switching is done via a button on the front panel, or with the fame VM-26 foot-switch. The headphone connection ensures "distraction-free practicing" and spares neighbours, landlords and house-mates. The Aux-In allows you to connect CD and MP3 players for jamming and practicing along side your favourite tracks.

I bought this as a practice amp for my flat. The sound of it is pretty decent... similar to a fender amp, as the general appearance would suggest. Its very loud for 25 watt... and keep in mind, it is 25, not 34 watt (I figured the number corresponded to the wattage without reading carefully enough). I dont think its quite loud enough for a full band practice... its sort of right on the edge. If you tell your drummer to play the drums instead of slamming them around like a madman, it might well work though. The overdrive is heavy, but the clean is, I must say, not so clean. I like that, as I dont play jazz or blues, but its not perfect for everyone. That being said, its a practice amp. If youre trying to get a specific sound on stage, you will use your stage amp anyway, so it doesnt really matter. One thing I really like about this amp is the aux-in, which is great for hooking up your mp3 player or computer to practice with your favourite songs. You can use headphones as well, as to not upset the neighbours. My rating, 3.8 out of 5 without factoring in cost, 4.5 out of 5 considering the cost : value ratio.
