The Fender Player Series 2018 takes its place as the standard base range, providing reliable and competitive instruments for musicians looking for the sound and quality the company have become synonymous with. Represented within the Player Series are the following models in various configurations: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar & Jazzmaster guitars and Precision, Jazz & Jaguar Basses.
The Fender Player Series Jazzmaster PF BCR is the 2018 standard version of the original off-set 6-string electric guitar created by Fender, similar to the Jaguar but with divergent physicality and tonal composition. Originally associated with surf music, the Jazzmaster inspired musicians from many genres other than the Jazz bands it was built to accommodate.
The Player Series Jazzmasters feature 2x Alnico 2 Humbucking pickups, alongside a 3-position switching blade. A 6-Saddle Vintage-Style adjustable bridge with “Floating” Tremolo Tailpiece and synthetic bone nut ensure tuning stability during play and the tone vibrates throughout an Alder body with a gloss polyester finish.

For me as an occasional player absolutely sufficient instrument. I'm aware of the heresy of a humbuckers in a place where the singlecoil is supposed to be, but you know what, I don't care. The sound is great, the finish is flawless, the impression of quality is excellent. It's a little heavier than it seems and the shape of the offset body is a bit unusual to carry, but the sound and overall quality of the instrument totally worths that bit of an extra effort.
