The J&D ST-Mini Electric Guitar, Butterscotch is ideally suited to children who want to start playing guitar from a very young age but require a smaller, lightweight guitar that they can play with ease.
Although aimed at children, the ST-Mini has been constructed using professional grade components including an alder body, bolted on maple neck and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard layered over a 564mm scale making it perfect for smaller hands.
The J&D ST-Mini also features one Humbucker and one Single Coil pickup that generate an array of classic sounds. The guitar also has die cast machine heads, a vintage tremolo, has been built using chrome hardware and is finished in butterscotch.

Best choice for kids!
Im really impressed with the sound, the humbucker is so nice, even with 09 strings. Its a really nice sound for a really low price. The construction seems resistent too. I would not use the wammy bar! It seems a little fragile.
Compré esta guitarra para mi hija de siete años. La guitarra se ve bien terminada. Suena bastante bien. Creo que es una buena opción para comenzar a aprender. Y está a un precio bastante asequible.
I bought this guitar for my 7-years-old daughter. The guitars worksmanship is ok. It sounds pretty well. I guess this is a good option for begginers. And the price is affordable
Very impressed by this guitar. It has a 3/4 scale, and maybe looks unserious, but it is very well built and sounds good.
I bought this one for my 7 year old daughter, who is very curious about the guitar playing, but she is just not big enough to play on my strat. So far, the guitar was delivered to me with decent gigbag. The color ordered is butterscotch blond, but in reality it looks very orangy! Nevertheless, I think this color is even more cool, than the ordered one. The paintwork is OK, but the paint finish seems to be not thick enough, as I can see a stripes of wood texture.
What really amazed me, the guitar came fully prepared and the action was even finer, that on my Squier affinity. I mean 1mm at the 12th fret and no serious fret buzz. The neck is very good. It has somewhat a satin finish, very comfortable to play, the rosewood is good quality, oil conditioned. But at the same time I’m worried, because compared to my affinity strat, this one has a chunkier neck! It is more comfortable for me, but guitar is meant for a 7 year old girl! I hope that wouldn’t be a huge problem anyway.
The sound is just decent, as it should be with a cheap ceramic pickups, meant to be played through a digital modeling stuff for teaching somebody. Maybe I’ll upgrade the pickups to an affordable ones later on, cause the guitar has a potential to become good travel mate. Anyway the woods are good, and it resonates quite well.
final pros: huge price/quality ratio, good sound, good neck, overall good playability.
final cons: a bit chunky neck for kid’s hands, when selector switch in neck position it might obstruct the strumming.
Overall: Very good guitar for kids and/or travelling.
Update. The neck turned to be ok for my kid's hands. She is very happy
Brilliant looks ,sound and ease of use.I already have 3 x minibasses and have now also ordered a "tele" mini.Best guitars anywhere for great value.
