These are just for protection from rain and dirt not for protection from heavy handling. They are a good priced package of cases that will do the job of keeping your kit clean and dry nothing more. If you want solid protection go for hard cases otherwise these do the job just fine.
By definition, professional drummers who have their kit constantly on the road and who have to deal with roadies who may handle it roughly, would better be off using hard shell cases to protect their drums. All others will find these bags - as I did - sturdy and well-padded, offering more than adequate protection. At this price and "Made in China" I expected a less than perfect , probably too roomy fit, but I was pleasantly surprised. They all are an excellent fit, yet easy to put on and off. The second surprise: they look better in real life than as depicted on screen.
As indicated on the site, the bags have no shoulder straps, so you can't carry four at a time (the same goes however for several bag sets that are on offer here at much higher prices). That makes for a deduction in 'handling' and 'features'. But at this price, it's a very good deal for a nice looking set of bags that offers very decent protection.
I really didn't expect this set to be high-quality based on the price, but I was amazed by how dense the padding is and how well the edges are made. It's great for gigs in and around cities, but maybe not the best for a tour van or bus. I would definitely recommend this set!
