With the Mayones Hydra Elite 6 Monolith Metallic Blue Satin, the forge for fine metal axes from Gdansk, Poland, is sending an agile electric guitar in a trendy headless design into the race. As usual, Mayones relies on an excellent choice of wood, which manifests itself in the mahogany body with burl poplar top and the five-piece wenge-amaranth neck with ebony fingerboard. On the guitar amplifier, the tried-and-tested combination of Velvetrone Soliumand Velvetrone Ironside + Solium humbuckers delivers extremely hot metal sounds that also reproduce abysmal drop tunings tightly and assertively. Last but not least, the Mayones Hydra 6 Elite headless guitar is equipped with six individual fine-tuner bridges from ABM and an in-house S-CLAMP headpiece.

The six-bolt neck of the Mayones Hydra Elite can be easily played up to the highest registers thanks to its flowing neck foot and wide cutaways.

Based on a compact headless design without a headstock, the Mayones Hydra Elite not only impresses with a first-class selection of woods, but also with extremely agile playing characteristics. Accordingly, Mayones relies on a body made of mahogany and an intensively drawn top made of burl poplar, while the six-piece bolt-on neck is made of wenge and amaranth (purpleheart) and has an ebony fingerboard. The compact body design with wide Cutaways and the slim "D" neck profile guarantee unimpeded playability across all 24 stainless steel frets, with fluorescent side dots from Luminlay marking the positions.
With a Velvetrone Ironside + Solium on the bridge and a Velvetrone Solium on the neck, the Mayones Hydra Elite delivers first-class metal sounds with a modern twist.
Fishman Fluence humbucker for modern metal sounds
The electrical sound conversion of the Mayones Hydra Elite 6 is handled by the popular Fishman Fluence humbucker team, which is not a modern classic in the field of brute metal pickups for nothing. Equipped with a powerful ceramic magnet, the Fluence bridge humbucker delivers a cleanly articulated sound with a tight bass foundation and wide-ranging mids and highs for a biting punch even at the lowest drop tunings. The Fluence humbucker on the neck, on the other hand, impresses with a balanced sound that is equally suitable for sparkling cleans and singing leads.

High-quality Hardware from ABM and Mayones
Last but not least, high-quality hardware equipment completes the Mayones Hydra Elite 6. Accordingly, Berlin-based hardware manufacturer ABM contributes six individual fine-tuner bridges, which not only allow precise adjustment of intonation and string action, but also guarantee a precise Tuning. Behind the GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, the Mayones S-CLAMP Element headpiece made of brass furthermore secures the strings at the end of the neck.
