The Orange PPC412 guitar amplifier speaker cabinet is built to last and comes factory fitted with four Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, flush mounted carrying handles and Orange's own legendary basket-weave grill cloth.
The Orange PPC412 is built from 13 ply high density Baltic Birch plywood and features bespoke designed anti-skid feet. The anti-skid feet help acoustically couple the cab to the floor it's placed on, providing a much tighter bass response and increased definition.
The main features of the Orange PPC412 guitar amplifier speaker cabinet include:
To start off, this particular cabinet is one of my favorite (and for many, many other people and bands aswell). This is the cabinet a lot of pro guitar players and bands use, coming from all different kinds of genres. I can think of a couple of reasons why:
-The build quality is amazing. It is extremely sturdy, weights a lot, and can handle touring/gig conditions very easily. The workmanship is one of the best Ive seen so far
-The sound coming from this enclosure is fantastic and very unique. It packes a bit more low end and has a very prominent and clear midrange, which is why this amp sounds so great in all kinds of applications.
-It handles all kinds of music genres, going from beautiful clean sounds to roaring down-tuned metal sounds. Wathever you play, it will always sound good.
The only downside (for me) is transporting this cabinet. It has no weels and is pretty heavy to carry around, which you can solve ofcourse by buying a suitable case. But thatll cost you extra money.
Overall: This famous cabinet rightfully earned its popularity. I would not hesitate to buy this product again
Orange PPC 412 is considered to be one of the best value-for-money 4x12 guitar cabinets in the market. It is loaded with one of the most popular speakers around -and an all-time industry standard-, the Celestion V30s, and can therefore cover a wide variety of music styles.
Matched with a high gain amplifier, I would especially recommend it for any drop-tuned, modern metal application, as it can handle extreme amounts of gain without breaking up, while still producing a detailed treble response and a huge, tight low end, which perfectly accommodates these styles.
