Fine woods and detailed workmanship
For the construction of the Custom 24 Faded Whale Blue, the guitar builders around Paul Reed Smith use only selected woods that lead to a perfect sound experience. Thus, selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid curly maple top comes up with a characterful and even flame. The glued mahogany neck offers the perfect balance between rich feel and smooth playability with its well-shaped "Pattern Regular" profile. On the rosewood fingerboard, furthermore traditional bird inlays provide best orientation between the 24 frets.

Two PRS 85/15 humbuckers are used as pickups on the PRSCustom 24, which were developed by Paul Reed Smith himself on the occasion of the company's 30th anniversary. These pickups convince with their clear sound, whose extended bass and treble spectrum provides the perfect basis for classic and modern sounds, from warmly pearling Clean and singing Overdrive to pressing riffs.
Via the 5-way switch can furthermore be called up different circuit combinations for different sound nuances:
Position 1: bridge humbucker
Position 2: bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
Position 3: bridge and neck humbucker
Position 4: split bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel

High quality hardware
The equipment of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Faded Whale Blue is completed by high-quality Hardware from our own house. On the body side, the strings find their hold on the proven PRS Gen III tremolo, which convinces with smooth handling and high functionality and offers a comfortable support for the hand thanks to rounded edges. At the headstock, the strings run with a straight pull from the nut to the PRS Phase III Locking tuners. These guarantee high tuning stability even with frequent vibrato use and make changing strings much easier. The PRS Custom 24 is also delivered in a noble PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
