The Seagull S6 Classic Black A/E at a glance
With the Seagull S6 Classic Black A/E guitar, the Canadian manufacturer expands its popular S6 series to a semi-massive dreadnought that not only attracts attention due to its special semi-gloss finish, but also visually. To generate warm and bass-rich frequencies, the manufacturer uses a solid cedar top on a laminated body made of wild cherry, which gives the overall sound a rich note. A very thin varnish additionally allows the material to vibrate very freely, so that the sound unfolds quickly and distinctively.
For a comfortable grip, the manufacturer relies on a flat neck made of Silver Leaf Maple with a rosewood fingerboard that, thanks to a nut width of 43.69 mm, has enough space to easily handle even complex fingering patterns. A compensated bridge inlay made of GraphTech TUSQ and a corresponding nut also ensure clean intonation over the entire 647.7 mm scale length, so all strings deliver a perfect sound experience. In addition to an eye-catching white pickguard, the soundhole of the black-top guitar is surrounded by an intricate herringbone rosette, which, in combination with a white binding, provides a tasteful contrast to the bright blackwashed finish of the body. A Fishman Sonitone pickup system completes the Seagull S6 Classic Black A/E in its function and offers the possibility to reproduce the acoustic sound also amplified.
