Dreadnought with solid spruce top, mahogany body, System 70 SRT pickup and integrated effects
With the FG-TA, the traditional manufacturer Yamaha offers an inexpensive version of the successful TransAcoustic. This innovative technology allows the player to mix chorus, reverb and acoustic sound without the use of external effects or amplifiers. In addition, Yamaha's own 70 pickup system is available for increased use, which scores with dynamics and natural balance.
But the FG-TA TransAcoustic also has a lot to offer acoustically. Accordingly, this dreadnought comes with a solid spruce top on a mahogany body and resonates with tight bass, striking mid-range and brilliant highs. This makes the FG-TA TransAcoustic ideal for powerful vocal accompaniment with strumming or flatpicking. In addition, chrome-plated die-cast mechanisms provide tuning stability, while a compensated urea bridge insert ensures clean intonation and a flat string position.
The Yamaha FG-TA Vintage Tint TransAcoustic at a glance:
Electro-acoustic dreadnought
TransAcoustic technology with purely acoustic chorus and reverb effect - no external effect devices or amplifiers required
Solid spruce top on a mahogany body for a full and dynamic sound image
Chrome-plated die-cast mechanisms for tuning stability
Yamaha System70 pickup system for a balanced and natural amplified sound image
I was looking for a guitar to play with friends at informal sessions and to practice with at home.
This guitar stands up on its own merits sound wide with a large and bright tone. And then you switch on the inbuilt reverb and chorus and you get to play around with soundscapes without need to any external amplifiers or guitar pedals.
Its well built and apart from lowering the action a bit, I have zero complaints.

good service from music store very impressed kept upto date as for the guitar very well built and good sound but action is a little high for my liking but will change the saddle to bone .The trans acoustic works very well and adds some variety to your sound without having to drag amps and pedals ideal for when your noodling on the sofa.would i purchase again definitely yes and with a couple of tweaks this will be a 5star guitar
