of matched Tele replacement pickups. We build each Twang King by hand with exclusive winding techniques that give the guitar more attack while keeping that famous single-coil sound. It delivers the finest vintage sound combined with improved string balance and solid DiMarzio construction. The bridge pickup, DP173, comes with a base plate installed, and it's dipped in wax after assembly for quiet performance.
Recommended For: Standard Tele bridge position.
Tech Talk: We didn't model the Twang King bridge after a specific original. Instead, we combined the best tonal qualities of several Broadcaster and Telecaster pickups from the '50s and early '60s. We were aiming for a balance between big, clean lows and fatter-sounding highs, and we wanted the pickup to be able to handle a very wide dynamic range, so the sound would clean up with soft picking and really open up with a harder attack.

To my ears it is the perfect Telecaster neck pickups. It has a great vintage tele sound in lower gain. With higher gain it tends to have a little more compressed sound which makes telecaster neck position playable even with a lot of gain. I have tried it with alder and ash body telecasters.
I have two teles (one Fender USA and one from China) and they both have this neck pick up .
It's simply one of the best I tried, with just the right output (not too low like some others) and a perfect tone, clean and dirty.
The price is incredible after you listen to it.
It works well with the Di Marzio Twang King bridge (love it too!) and with a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster (very good also, but not on every guitar).
